No. If your measurement falls between two standard sizes, we generally recommend the larger one for comfort.
- Size up for: wide bands (above 4mm), warm weather or evenings (fingers naturally swell when warm), or prominent knuckles.
- Size down for: thin, delicate bands (under 2mm), or if you measured your finger while cold.
A good fit means the ring slides over your knuckle with a little friction, then sits comfortably at the base of your finger. When in doubt, it's easier for a jeweler to size a ring down than to stretch it larger.
